Who Said 4th Of July Was Only For Kids?

The 4th of July is the perfect time for adults to let loose and and kick back with a few drinks. We have collected 3 great recipes for your summer holiday adventure.

Sparkling Rose Sangria

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 teaspoon McCormick® Pure Lime Extract
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks, (about 1-inch chunks), divided
  • 1 cup fresh strawberry chunks, (about 1-inch chunks), divided
  • 1 bottle (750 mililiters) sparkling sweet rosé wine, chilled

    PREPARATION

    • Muddle extract and 1/2 cup of each fruit in large pitcher with a muddler or wooden spoon until fruit is crushed.

    • Pour in wine. Add remaining 1/2 cup of each fruit; stir gently.

    • Serve chilled in beverage glasses. Garnish with fresh pineapple and watermelon, if desired.

Strawberry Lime Frozen Margarita

INGREDIENTS

LIME SIMPLE SYRUP

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon McCormick® Pure Lime Extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

LIME SALT

  • 1 cup kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon McCormick® Pure Lime Extract

STRAWBERRY MARGARITA

  • 1 cup whole frozen strawberries
  • 1/4 cup tequila
  • 2 tablespoons Lime Simple Syrup

PREPARATION

  • For the Lime Simple Syrup, combine water, sugar and salt in a small saucepan. Bring to boil over medium heat. Remove from heat and stir in extract. Set aside to cool. (This makes enough simple syrup for 8 batches or 8 margaritas.)

  • For the Lime Salt, mix salt and extract in a small bowl. Reserve for rimming glasses.

  • Place strawberries, tequila and 2 tablespoons Lime Simple Syrup in blender container; cover. Blend until smooth. Rim glasses with Lime Salt. Divide margarita mixture evenly among glasses. Refrigerate remaining Lime Simple Syrup up to 2 weeks in an airtight container.

    Pumpkin Spiced Pina Colada

    INGREDIENTS

    (1 cup)Servings

    • 1 can (13.66 ounces) Thai Kitchen® Coconut Milk
    • 1 cup pineapple juice
    • 4 ounces light rum
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 1 tablespoon McCormick® Pumpkin Pie Spice
    • 4 cups ice cubes

    PREPARATION

    • Place coconut milk, pineapple juice, rum, sugar and pumpkin pie spice in blender container; cover. Blend on high speed until smooth. Add ice; blend until slushy.

    • Pour into beverage glasses. Serve immediately.
